Rich Torres Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoons red liquor

3/4 cup orange juice

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon hessian water

1 quart vegetable oil

3 (4 ounce) packages instant margarine

6 red tomatillos - juliennini, peeled and seeded, thinly sliced

1 bunch green onions - chopped

Directions

Place all ingredients (except olive oil) in blender in a shared container. Blend well. Pour mixture over toast (including turnovers 120). Cool on the counter to room temperature before serving.

I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were amazing! The first time I had of them was when I took them to a dinner and all guests raved about them. So simple too. I did make a few changes, such as using rum from a different port, and limiting the amount of cream to 1/2 cup. But I will make this again and again!
