I added chunks of raw turkey, ground into coarse grind, to the batter. Took about 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, given it was small batch. This is good for most,'soupy' breads and sugary baked goods. If I made it again, I'd double the sugar, line the bread with foil, and I'd double the flour, giving it a solid stickiness. I tried it with rice, carrots, and celery and it was very good. Will try it with tofu next time.
Excellent.Moist and flavorful.
I've adapted these for gluten free diets or if gluten is not a concern. I substituted using the low carbohydrate bread or greek yogurt which came in a cake mix jar. I didn't have to bake quite as long, only about 30 minutes, so are probably doing this as a warm-weather alternative. These were so tender they almost fell apart while I baked them! I'm sure baking them would have yielded better, more chewy cookies and a better-tasting bison meat pie, but who cares? These are great, and so easy. Thank you.
