Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.9 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup butter, chilled and diced

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons caramel color

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 (8 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, chopped

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9 inch-square baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the sugar, butter, honey, flour, baking powder, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk. Beat with an electric mixer, scraping down sides of bowl occasionally. Mix in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.

Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Allow to cool completely. While pie is baking, combine remaining cookie crumbs, chocolate, pecans and marshmallows in a small bowl.

Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle with pecans. Place in a bowl, and brush with remaining butter and honey. Chill and serve.

I made these for a candy recipe I was working on and it got deleted because it was making too much noise. I took the tips of a few other reviewers and instead of brown sugar I used peanut butter. I let the mixture steep 6 times instead of 4 just to make sure it was thick enough. I put about a tablespoon of brown sugar in each cupcake and it came out pretty good. I didn't realize it called for brown sugar. I had to use 2 cups of brown sugar. It took me a lot longer to bake but that's cause my oven is . I only changed one thing: I added a teaspoon of vanilla to both brown sugar and cocoa. Oh, and I used a vanilla cupcake liner FIRST to help with the splashing.
