3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 large onions, chopped
3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pinch garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion salt
1 pinch paprika
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Place oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onion and potatoes until tender. Stir in oil and onion; continue to stir until potatoes are covered in oil. Reduce heat to medium; place over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened.
Add garlic powder, oil, onion, potatoes, olives, salt, paprika, salt, oregano and thyme; stir until well blended. Cover and cook for 7 minutes. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until mixture is thickened. Immediately add vinegar and water, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes. Return to medium heat and cook about 1 minute, or until liquid is absorbed and mixture coats the back of a metal spoon.
Reduce heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat; whisk in mustard, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir thoroughly. Serve immediately.
