1 1/2 cups shortening, melted
1 cup white sugar
1 (1 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven's broiler setting.
In a medium bowl, cream shortening and sugar until smooth. Cut in melted white sugar until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pudding mix and pecans.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Broil 2 minutes, until set. Allow to cool on baking sheets.
