Cookie Dip II Recipe

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) package mini chocolate cookie crumbs

1 cup butter

2 tablespoons red food coloring

1 cup cold milk

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

1/4 cup peanuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Lightly grease a 9 inch double crust pie pan.

Melt the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Stir the milk and sugar mixture into the butter mixture.

On a small plate, mix the peanuts and peanut butter.

Sprinkle chilled chocolate crumbs onto the bottom of the pie crust. Roll out to cover the crumb mixture. Brush the top of the pie crust with the peanut butter mixture.

Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until chocolate coating is golden brown. Cool before cutting into square.
