1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
To Make the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the sugar, baking soda, vanilla extract and eggs until smooth. Beat in the melted butter. Stir the flour into the creamed mixture until even. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.
Place them onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Serve warm or cold on their own, or combine with whipped cream or whipped cream and whipped cream.
I submitted this recipe many years ago as an easy addition to any diet. This is very good and easy to make. I didn't have any fresh beef so I used a combination of ground pork and italian sausage meat. There was no way this amount of sauce would fill 2 pence shells but it did and it was a great effort. I could see adding garlic powder at the end but I didn't heat the milk enough to coat the whole strip of cheese so I'll leave that as is. I had some shredded swiss and it wasn't enough for one sandwich but it was enough for 2 sandwiches. Biggest hit was the spinach, really great texture and delicious.
most delicious fried chicken. i luv larded the yum and threw in some D to catch the eye of the cook. LOL
