1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (2 ounce) can minced clams
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped green onion
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x9 inch pan.
In a large bowl, mix dry onion soup mix, minced clams, milk, butter, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, egg, and bell pepper. Mix well and form into a loaf shape. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with parsley and green pepper.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm or cold, or both. Cool before cutting into cubes.
