1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Heat 1/2 cup olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add nutmeg, cloves and salt; reduce heat. Stir in water, vinegar and salt. Cover and reduce heat to low. Stir constantly until mixture is thickened.
When mixture is thickened, press cream cheese into the center of each pastry. Arrange whipped topping on top of cream cheese mixture; sprinkle cream cheese mixture with mozzarella cheese. Cover and chill in refrigerator.
