2 cups ground oats
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons margarine
1 cup water
1 cup light corn syrup
2 cups milk chocolate ice cream, any flavor
In a large bowl, mix the oats, sugar, baking powder and vanilla. Stir everything well and pour into a 3 quart mold. Place in refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Roll the chocolate filling mixture into rolls and place in mold. Shape the oat filling into an OAT SINGLE. Fill the rest of the mold out (we use a small zigzag stripe thing). Twist upside down and place into glazed baking pans although cakes or soakers work best.
