Ingredients

2/3 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, baking powder and salt until smooth. Beat in the flour and baking soda; stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Shape the dough into a 2 inch balls and roll in lemon zest and orange zest. Cut into six wedges.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting: remove from pan.
