1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 cup shortening
3 cups milk
1 (3 ounce) can sliced apricots
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
1 cup chopped pitted dates
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch pie pan.
In a medium mixing bowl, mix cream cheese, eggs, shortening, milk, apricots, vanilla extract and peaches. Mix well and pour mixture into pan. Place in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until apples are tender.
Remove from oven and remove pan from oven. Remove from oven and sprinkle with dates. Cover and let cool in pan for 5 minutes. Return to oven and fold in apricots and peach halves. Bake for about 45 to 60 minutes until cheese is bubbly and filling is bubbly.
