1 large onion, chopped
1 (12 ounce) can kidney beans
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
In a medium saucepan, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add onion and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add beans and continue to cook for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, salt, chili powder, oil and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a slow boil.
Stir in beef, mozzarella cheese, mozzarella cheese, cheese, chili powder, garlic powder and onion. Cover, reduce heat and simmer gently for about 5 hours.
