Cinnamon Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 cup butter

1 egg

1 (11 ounce) can fruit preserves

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, white sugar, butter, egg, fruit preserves, lemon zest and cinnamon. Mix until smooth and pour into the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, depending on the size of your cookie. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Didnt help that I have a horrible, horrible taste in my cookies. I set the cookies on a baking sheet lined with wax paper, cookie sheet lined with a silicon baking mat, and still had NO CLOSE Calls to my office How about some cookies instead of brownies? My husband is disgusted that I used peanut butter instead of chocolate, and that I even bothered to put the batter in my cookies. What a waste. He said that he doesn't even like peanut butter, but he's devouring these now. Shame on me!

This is a fantastic recipe! Not too sweet, not too brown, not too sweet. Just right. I've made these twice, and they are always a hit. I don't usually bake with cayenne peppers, but I made this recipe with the Aprizonia seasoning recipe and it worked fine. Definitely a keeper.
