1 1/3 cups green beans
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups apple pie filling
2 teaspoons lemon flavored extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
In a large bowl, combine the green beans, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and apple pie filling. Mix thoroughly.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
Remove foil from bottom of springform pan. Add apple pie filling, lemon extract, lemon zest and lemon zest. Spoon filling into pan. Sprinkle lemon zest over fruit. Season with salt and pepper. Top with crushed pineapple. Place pan on rack.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 6 hours, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack. Serve warm.
