4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons instant sugar-free chocolate syrup
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 (11 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) square pans.
In a large bowl, beat together eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Mix in milk, sweetener and chocolate syrup. Stir filling into egg mixture. Pour into prepared pans.
Bake in preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes; remove to wire rack. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
