German Chocolate Cake V Recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups milk

3 eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted

3 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup buttermilk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch springform or other similar container. In a small bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt and sugar. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter magic, sugar mixture and milk with the flour mixture. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Alternately mix in the sifted ingredients, three at a time, blend just until all dry ingredients are blended. Pour half of batter into prepared springform pan, the other half into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting and store in refrigerator.
