1 cup dry cranberries
6 fluid ounces cranberry juice
1 1/2 pounds whole wine grapes at room temperature, rinsed and dried
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup beef prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon dry white wine
salt and pepper to taste
2 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
Place 6 cups water in a slow cooker.
Cover, and cook on High for 2 to 3 hours, or Low for 4 to 5 hours.
Melt rum and white wine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in ginger, dry white wine, sugar and beef. Remove from heat, and pour into slow cooker.
Cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally. Simmer with liquid for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, heat corn oil and butter over medium heat.
