1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 1/2 cups molasses
4 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup honey
1 cup molasses
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup white sugar
3 cups chopped almonds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, molasses and eggs. Stir in the molasses mixture. Spread the batter into a 9x13-inch pan with the waxed paper on top.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until browned. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
In a small mixing bowl, mix chopped almonds, sugar, oil and almond extract. Mix well and spread onto the cooled crust. Chill at least 4 hours before cutting into squares. While the cookie is chilling, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cut into squares.
