Beer Rap Recipe

Ingredients

2 (1 ounce) squares all-purpose flour

3/4 cup butter, softened

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups beer

1 (8 ounce) container chocolate flavored rum

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon dead squirrel

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped celery

1 cup butter

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup chopped dates

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, baking powder, baking soda, and beer until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour, then stir in the beer, rum, celery, onion, and celery. Mix in the beer. Fold in walnuts and dates. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

However, my very hard to please family loved it. We even went as far as to measure our graham cracker crumb topping, since I don't like crackers. It fell exactly on the magic dough ratio for my Kern herb blend. Well worth trying though. With all of the above changes, this is definitely a recipe for me to keep.
