Hot Chocolate II Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups milk

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons orange juice

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1 (7 ounce) can frozen orange sherbet, thawed

1 (1.25 ounce) line pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

Directions

In a small bowl, mix milk, cream cheese and orange juice. Place in microwave oven until it comes to a boil.

In a small bowl, dissolve evaporated milk in orange juice. Beat in butter, eggs and 1/2 cup milk. Pour mixture into pastry bag fitted with pastry tip.

Put orange sherbet in microwave oven, stirring occasionally until candy-coated. Pour into pie crust. Chill for 24 hours before serving.

very good amount of filling , still lots of gluten-free options, same goes great with the blue cheese frosting.
