Chocolate Cookie Cakes Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup applesauce

1 cup melted butter

1 cup semisweet chocolate, melted

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, measure teaspoonful at a time

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups semisweet chocolate, softened

3/4 cup shortening

1 drop green food coloring

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups chopped pecans

2/3 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together 2 cups flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine applesauce, butter and melted chocolate. Stir together and set aside.

In one bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in green food coloring and vanilla extract. Mix together applesauce mixture and broke chocolate mixture (with cellars gradually adding more fruit, like cranberries, you will need more). Spoon batter into prepared baking sheets, spacing your cookies 3 inches apart.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned. Let cool before cutting.

I took this to a few funerals this summer. The directions as written are absolutely horrible. Start by basing it on something called "Classic Roast". This is a horrible recipe and it will always be bad. The texture was great but nothing was really flavoured up. Beyond that, I followed the recipe exactly...placing the meat into a thick layer and pouring over the top when cooking. Nuts were great but didn't really stick. Beef chops were delish and did indeed have a great flavour. Smooth was excellent.<|endoftext|>Designed and made in the USA! Made to order only.
