Baked Stuffed Cabbage Recipe


3 cups whole fresh broccoli, finely chopped

3 cups baby carrots, finely chopped

2 cups yellow salad greens

1 cup sliced sweet onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

6 cups finely chopped cabbage

1/2 cup butter


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Spread broccoli into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, mix together carrots, green salad greens, onion, celery, cabbage and butter. Spread mixture into dish.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

I changed the proportions on the ingredients and came up with a good amount. My family really liked it--dad really liked it, she liked it too. My goal was a casserole of 5 things and this was really good because it was really easy to make and came out great. Note that I used white miso broth because it sells separately and I couldn't find it. I would have given it 5 stars, but I had to doctor it slightly. The amount of pepper was a nice change--I don't usually use it, but it was nice for this. I'll be making this again--a hearty, satisfying, versatile main course!
