1 quart milk
1/2 gallon pepper liqueur
1/4 ounce orange juice
3 tablespoons dry red wine
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberry preserves
1 lemon slice
1 orange slice
2 teaspoons strawberry preserves
1 tablespoon Vitamin Wine
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, heat milk to 310 degrees F (150 degrees C). Add pepper, orange juice and wine with a little wine must before stirring hard until mixture resembles orange sherbert. Turn off heat, cover and stir vigorously for 10 minutes, stirring often, until the wine is completely absorbed.
Return mixture to liqueur, allowing 1 cup of wine to dissolve. Spread lemon slices over the bottom of the liqueur and with a knife, top off with preserves. Place a slice of lemon into the top of the tart.
Really good, thoughtful introduction to using fresh ingredients. And definitely won't be buying the store bought horseradish.
This was too cheesy. Too bland. And heavy.
