4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup beer
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt; or to taste
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
In a medium nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add beer and onion; cook, stirring constantly, until vegetables are tender. Stir in celery, sage, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, cheese and hot dog.
Remove skillet from heat; stir into hot dog mixture, a little at a time, until well blended.
