Overnight German Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup margarine

1/3 cup white sugar

1 (16 ounce) package raisins

1/2 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 cup white sugar for decoration

1 cup molasses

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

1 cup rolled oats for decoration

Directions

Put margarine, sugar, raisins, and butter in 1 quart size saucepan. Heat to boiling in medium saucepan. Boil for 45 minutes or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.

Mix flour, eggs, baking soda, salt, baking powder, lemon zest, orange juice, lemon zest and lemon zest into 1 quart saucepan. Fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Stir in molasses, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in sliced oats.
