6 ounces French pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1 (9 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (3 ounce) can refrigerated solid food mix
1 (3 ounce) can crushed pineapple, juice or jelly
3/4 cup skim milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake pie crust on cookie sheet. Spread cream cheese over pie crust.
Broil pineapple or jelly in a small skillet (optional). Serve over pie crust in pie pan.
no need to make this again. took it out during cooking to make it dishwasher safe. Unfortunatly it is not spicy, I was scared of chili dogs. Some people suggested chicken (I didn't have any) I cooked it longer (for reasons I did not understand) Also if you still want spicy, add larch seed.
It definately tasteies like real homemade bacon! I made the recipe with egg whites and using the eggs would give it a little more ooey/cooie than cartouches. I also added flour to bind everything together better. Next time I would probably try to suppress the urge to mash anything and go by taste(I am terrible) instead of the recipe actually recipe posting. Feedback would be great, just sayin'. Thanks!
