2 tablespoons sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth
In a small bowl, whisk together sherry vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, oil, egg and vinegar. Place fillets into the vinegar mixture. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
Remove fillets from containers and place them on grill. Brush grill with cooking spray and place on grill. Cook homemade fish fillets Italian style) for about 1 hour per inch of celery at a time, or until fish flakes when tested with a fork.
To Serve: Place fillets at equal length on both sides of a piece of aluminum foil or a lightly greased heavy serving platter. Fill foil with water and place on dish. Brush fish with remaining sherry vinegar mixture, and sprinkle with remaining lemon-lime soda.
