Vietnamese Dried Crab Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 pounds crab meat

2 tablespoons dried red chile pepper sauce

1 tablespoon dried red wine

1 tablespoon dried basil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup fresh ginger root beer

2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar

2 teaspoons white sugar

1 cup water

2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar

1 tablespoon fish sauce

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions

In a medium bowl mix crab meat, chili sauce, vinegars, lemon juice, ginger beer, vinegar, white vinegar, sugar, water and water. Mix well, cover and refrigerate about one hour or until liquid is absorbed.

Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Saute crab mixture and red chile pepper sauce for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, ginger, vinegar, sugar, water, vinegar, fish sauce and dry mustard. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot or cold.
