1 1/2 cups margarine, softened
3/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the margarine, shortening, eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stirring constantly, beat in chili powder, hot sauce and hot pepper sauce. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, until lightly browned. Cool completely before removing from cookie sheets.
I followed all of the directions, exactly (or so I thought)! I had all of the ingredients, and as I sat back enjoying the smoothie I looked on the counter at my lonely clementine orange. Sad! :(
