1/2 pound red ham, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup coarse croutons
Place ham in a large roasting pan. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), or until almost dry.
Place onions and mushrooms in roasting pan. Fry in microwave for about 10 minutes, until tender. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, croutons, and ham. Adjust seasonings.
Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and sprinkle croutons on top of ham. Place over dark all-metal pan or over hot coals.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes per side, or until bubbly and golden brown.
