Pecan Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme

1/8 cup chopped fresh sage

1/8 cup chopped fresh thyme

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 cup pecan halves

1/8 cup cashew nuts

2 tablespoons butter

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl combine butter, onion, celery, green bell pepper, parsley, thyme, sage, thyme, parsley, pecan halves, cashew nuts, and lemon juice. Mix together and spread mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until shrimp are tender. Drain off liquid.

I really liked this recipe - it was super easy and quick. I didn't have onions, but my husband did and he said it was essential. Very good and easy.
