Texas Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup jam

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup milk

3 eggs

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the jam, pecans, milk, eggs and salt and pepper. Mix until very well blended.

Spread mixture in a 9x12 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out completely clean. Cool completely. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

While the cake is cooling, remove plastic wrap and cut out individual squares. Place tablespoon of cream cheese mixture onto one square. Press a chocolate cookie on the center of each chocolate square. Seal edges of squares and provide space for filling (or frosting if you like).
