Polish Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup left over caramel-flavored milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon seasoned baking soda

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1 egg

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in the vanilla and flour. Mix in the flour mixture alternately with the evaporated milk. Beat in the egg one at a time, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
