Refrigerating Pie Crust II Recipe

Ingredients

1 9-inch square baking dish

2/3 cup vegetable oil

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup water

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup soft margarine, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2/3 cup water, divided

3 egg whites, divided

2 teaspoons white sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a large bowl, mix together the vegetable oil and flour. Stir in salt and water, pressing all ingredients together. Stir in the remaining 1 2/3 cup of ground flour, 3 cups of water, egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Pour into pie crust.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: margarine, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Pour the mixture over the crust in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool and slice.

Let the pie rest before serving.
