Innovative Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup small pretzel-shaped fruit, peeled and sliced

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, light brown sugar and salt until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, mix in fruit slices until well covered. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
