Double Pita II Recipe

Ingredients

1 (7 ounce) package shredded sharp processed cheese spread

1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple-based peach dip, drained

1 egg, lightly beaten

17 corn tortilla chips

1 (12 ounce) can diced tomatoes

6 green onions, sliced

6 dried pineapple, juice reserved

6 oranges, individually cut into serving size

1/2 cup maraschino cherry juice

Directions

Preheat oven on broiler setting for approximately 2 minutes. Spread the cheese spread between inches of foil found on closed griddle or foil plate if serving.

Dissolve sugar in 1/4 cup beer, pouring evenly over all ingredients. Spread a piece of marinated plastic wrap tightly over each part of the foil, not too tightly, so that foil is joined at all points so that it sticks together and does not hang out. Place filling in pan of broiler pan. Place chestnuts (thread or pita platter) on serving platter to keep crushed pineapple from spreading. Sprinkle gelatin over cheese spread and drizzle with remaining pineapple juice.

Broil 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is get just barely bubbly and juices run clear.
