Molasses Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese spread

1 (8 ounce) container instant chocolate pudding mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

1 cup molasses

1 cup milk

3 tablespoons molasses

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Mix cream cheese and cream cheese spread to make one recipe. Spread prepared brownie mixture on top and bottom of brownie pan.

Bake brownies in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool completely.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and cream cheese spread until smooth. Beat in chocolate pudding mix, instant pudding, and molasses. Spread over brownies.

Place brownies in a 9 inch square pan. Brush with remaining chocolate pudding mix. Cover brownies with foil and refrigerate overnight.

When the brownies are cool, layer the brownies with the cream cheese frosting and spread on top of the brownies. Refrigerate brownies until serving.
