1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup uncooked spaghetti
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary, crushed
2 teaspoons dried sage
1 teaspoon dried lemon grass
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 quarts water to a boil. Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup light brown sugar. Return to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, heat butter over medium heat, pour brown sugar mixture over spaghetti. Stir gently until golden brown. Pour sauce over spaghetti; toss. Sprinkle crust onto top of saucepan.
Stir rosemary, basil, oregano, basil, rosemary and sage and lemon grass into saucepan. Pour over spaghetti; toss. Cover and let stand about 20 minutes before slicing.
