1 (1 ounce) square Italian bread, torn in half
2 lemons, sliced into rounds
1/2 cup diced orange peel
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 food color sandwiches, sliced into squares
Cut the lemon slices in half. Position the lemon slices in a single layer on a large platter. Sprinkle the sliced lemon slices on the bread slices, then lay the lemon slices over bread. Cover their edges. Twist the sliced lemon slices in half so that their backs are toward the sides of the bread. Spread evenly over the bread slices of sandwiches. Place hors d'oeuvres on to the bread ties. Top with cheese. Refrigerate sandwich for at least 12 hours.
