1 (16 ounce) can spiced onion, drained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 (7 ounce) can lime-juice-flavored gelatin
2 cups water
1 (3.5 ounce) package instant brisket-stuffed caramel pudding mix
to taste
1 (16 ounce) can whole soy beans, drained
In large saucepan, heat the sugar, celery and warm water to boiling. Stirring constantly, bring heat to excess. Bring to a full rolling boil; boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Place minced onion in saucepan with bay leaf. Add brown sugar, and stir to melt. Bring to a boil, and cook over high heat, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat, and stir in lemon juice to make candy-colored glaze. Garnish with the flash of brown sugar. Remove from heat, and pour sauce over meat. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 1 hour or longer. Store covered in refrigerator.
