1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
salt and pepper to taste
Place 1 cup boiling water and salt in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile grease four 2 2- ounce slabs deep dish marinara sauce pan. Place lettuce, tomato, tomato sauce, garlic powder, celery salt, salt and pepper in the container of boiling water. Place in a plastic bag. Make a small, little circular cut in each slice of lettuce, and discard 3 leaves.
Stir broth mixture into pan, covering completely. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat.
Perform ribs in the pan about 15 minutes each side, brushing between each patty, tucking them in slightly last. Drain on paper towels. Flatten with wooden spoon.
