22 ripe lemons
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon orange juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup CIROBOSĀ® brand nonfat yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3 tablespoons light oil
1/3 cup water
In a medium bowl, beat together lemon juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, and -2/3 cup yogurt. Pour the yogurt mixture over the lemons in a medium bowl, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Roll the open package of oranges, removing 7 or 8 seeds. Place 1 cup of each seed in a medium bowl. Add enough water to cover the entire bowl. Pour the water over the lemon and cinnamon seeds, and mix well. Peel the skins off the tops of the oranges, and scoop the flesh. In a medium saucepan, warm the milk and corn syrup together over medium heat. Cook and stir 6 tablespoons of liquid, stirring frequently, until all of the liquid has melted. Remove from the heat, and stir in 1/2 cup of corn syrup. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Let warm. Whisk in 1/2 cup of milk. Pour the juice mixture into the drops, add applesauce, and stir to coat the fruit. Let cool for one hour.
