1 pound ground beef - thinly sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon allspice powder or to taste
1 teaspoon dried parsley
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1 large red onion, chopped
Preheat oven on broiler setting.
Place beef slices in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Shape into 1/4 inch thick strips. While still warm, gently microwave beef strips on high in microwaving microwave for 10 minutes, or until well done. Drain excess fat from pan.
Arrange shredded cheese inside baking dish. Brush remaining oil on top of cheese slices. Drape meat strips over the cheese slices. Top with onion slice.
Place over boiling water; reduce heat to low. Cover, and cook uncovered for 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese slices are golden brown.
