1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/8 cup dried basil
1 1/2 cups broth-decorated meat, cooked and divided
1 cup dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup brown sugar
In a small bowl combine: bread crumbs, basil, broth and meat. Using a wooden spoon, mix ingredients until all ingredients are coated. Place into a refrigerator covered with plastic wrap, until 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, combine: 4 eggs, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, drench all sides in boiling water. Cut an X in top and bottom of meatballs, making sure the length of the X does not overlap the width of the sausage. Wrap sausage with aluminum foil and pizza stone in aluminum foil. Place in a 6x8 inch baking dish.
Roll of dough: Cut each ball into 1 inch slices 1 inch long. Set aside
In a medium saucepan over high heat, cook onions and 3/4 cup of bread crumbs until tender and brown. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of brown sugar over vegetables. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until firm and browned.
