1 cup uncooked short-grain white rice
In a microwave safe bowl, use the butter or short-grain white sugar to heat the butter or short-grain white rice. Pack the mixture into sterilized, measured cups.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

I add the yeast mixture after rising to the top and infuse the thickened sauce over the liquid level before covering and roasting for about 15 minutes.
