1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 (16 ounce) package vanilla wafers
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup cold milk
1/3 cup whipping cream
1 cup white sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat brown sugar, vanilla extract and butter; stir until mixture is moist. Stir in cornstarch just enough to keep it somewhat sticky. Fold in milk. Gradually blend in whipping cream, whipping cream, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup white sugar.
Shape into a five ounce canning size can of frosting. Quickly pour into canner/warming pan. Cover canner/warming pan with kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Heat at medium heat about 60 minutes. Cool completely.
