1 cup beef
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cups vegetable
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 teaspoons paprika
Gather all ingredients. Season wet ingredients with salt, 1/2 cup of sugar, and water. Pour into skillet to boiling per 1/2 cup of milk. Place 4 inches from skillet over medium-low heat. Brown on both sides, until brown all around. Reduce heat to medium, and cover. Let stand 35 minutes; cool.
Pour beef mixture into skillet. Add eggs one at a time, and cook all at once, stirring often, until mixture is firm. Sift dark cornmeal into skillet, and stir. Add 1/2 cup water, or as needed, folding back the skillet to allow additional liquid to drain. Continue cooking, stirring, until thickened and slightly browned. Season with garlic powder and paprika, and serve.
