1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped almonds
Melt butter in a large bowl. Mix together 1 cup flour with sugar. Gradually stir in almond extract and butter. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Mix in butter mixture. Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish or loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove pan and allow to cool. Dice almonds and pour into baking dish or loaf pan. Chill overnight.
