1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup sweetened eggnog
1 2/3 cups chocolate chips
Heat shortening in a large saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Stir until sugar has completely absorbed, approximately 1 minute. Return mixture to pan with sweetened eggnog and chocolate chips, stirring just until chocolate is melted and mixture is mostly light and pliable. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a simmer. Pour mixture into small plastic bag. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
